Calligraphy Workshop

Dr. Wang YunPing is offering a workshop on Chinese calligraphy. He will begin with a brief introduction to the history of calligraphy, followed by a live demonstration accompanied by the sound of the guzheng, played by Fei Yutong. Participants will then be invited to try their hand at the practice.

Dr WANG YunPing

Dr. WANG YunPing is Director of the Department of Visual Communication Design and the Institute of Art and Design at Jiaxing University, China. He also serves as Deputy Secretary General of the Jiaxing Artists Association. His artistic work includes solo exhibitions in China and abroad, notably in Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Buffalo (USA). A specialist in calligraphy, he explores themes of memory, space, and everyday life. His career bridges academic leadership and international artistic recognition.

Ms. FEI YUTONG

PhD Candidate in Information and Communication Sciences

Currently funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) through the THEOSCIT project, Yutong’s research focuses on the semantic and rhetorical classification of citation contexts using digital and computational methods. With a background in both computer science and environmental engineering, she combines linguistic analysis, corpus-based approaches, and information science. She has presented her work in international conferences such as STI 2022 and Doctorales SFSIC 2024.
